The Township of Uxbridge is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year! Here is a look at how the Township came to be.

On Jan. 1, 1974, under The Regional Municipality of Durham Act, 1973, Uxbridge Township, Scott Township, and the Town of Uxbridge amalgamated into what is known today as the Corporation of the Township of Uxbridge. Township of Uxbridge Launches New Permit Parking System

The Township of Uxbridge new permit parking system, HotSpot is now operational for all users. Detailed registration instructions are available on the Township’s website at https://www.uxbridge.ca/permitparking/.

Modified Huck Finn Returns to Elgin Pond April 27th

Uxbridge Huck Finn Youth Fishing Days returns this spring on a reduced scale. This year there will be no official contest taking place, instead, families will now be able to fish at Elgin Pond at their leisure all season long, starting April 27th, with the chance to win pop-up prizes! Elgin Pond will be stocked with 500 Brook trout for all the fishing fun, courtesy of the Ministry of Natural Resources.
