April 2022 Newsletter Spring has sprung…
The bulbs are blooming, the trees are budding, and again we find ourselves in the season of renewal. I hope everyone is safe, healthy and happy and is navigating our current circumstances as best they can. We, as the BIA board, are spending our days populating our fancy new website and planning our AGM for the near future
– it promises to be the best one yet!

The Uxbridge Fire Department is updating their Fire Master Plan and is very interested in hearing from local businesses and downtown property owners about fire services.

The Township of Uxbridge is undertaking a pilot project that will use technology to support local merchants. Trail use is at an all-time high and the Township is looking to maintain, enhance and protect those natural assets. The PAiY app will allow out-of-town trail users to pay for their parking using their smartphone while receiving notifications about promotions currently offered at local retail stores and eateries.

Ah, 2022.
The term ‘unprecedented times’ has been almost the motto. Call it optimism, call it fire, but I still remain optimistic that we together can weather this latest storm and welcome more normal times in the future.
