New all-way stop at Sandford Road/Herald Road and York Durham Line in Uxbridge

In support of Durham Vision Zero, The Regional Municipality of Durham is implementing a new all-way stop at the intersection of Sandford Road (Regional Road 11)/Herald Road and York Durham Line (Regional Road 30) in the Township of Uxbridge.  At the intersection of Sandford Road/Herald Road and York Durham Line in Uxbridge.  Work will be done on July 25, 2024. Roadway line painting operations are underway on Durham Roads

Until November, Durham Region’s roadway line painting operations are taking place primarily on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., with occasional weekend and nighttime operations.

New Virtual Home Energy Assessment Tool launches in Durham Region

Today, the powerful new Virtual Home Energy Assessment Tool (vHEAT) is launching in Durham Region as part of the Durham Greener Homes Program. Using artificial intelligence (AI), vHEAT produces a digital energy score to help users understand how much energy their home consumes compared to homes of similar size, age, and type. The tool also provides each homeowner with a customized “retrofit road map” showing how they can reduce energy consumption, resulting in cost-savings.
