The Township of Uxbridge is excited to announce the launch of its first Mayor & Council e-newsletter. The monthly e-newsletter will provide updates on Council news, current projects, programs, events, and more. The first edition is set to release on January 31, 2025, and will provide a highlight of 2024 accomplishments.

Township Lifts Significant Weather Event Advisory, Jan. 6th, 2025

Improved weather conditions have aided Township Road maintenance crews as they work to clear roads, sidewalks and parking lots. As a result, the Township is lifting the advisory of a Significant Weather Event that was declared on January 4th.
Drivers and pedestrians are still urged to be cautious as there are localized accumulations of melt water and the potential for icy conditions. Please drive according to the road conditions.

Based on the heavy snowfall, the Township wishes to advise residents that roads may be snow covered and slippery. Residents are asked to drive according to the weather conditions.
Roads, sidewalks and parking lots will be cleared as soon as crews are able to address them.

Canada Post resuming operations

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to notify residents that Canada Post restarted operations on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, and is in the process of ramping up operations across Canada.
When: Canada Post has begun working on mail and parcels that have been trapped in the system since November 15. Any large Regional mail outs will not be accepted into the network until December 19.

Convenient curbside natural Christmas tree collection in January

Whitby, Ontario – When the holidays are over, Durham Region will provide its annual curbside collection of natural Christmas trees. Natural Christmas trees will be composted with leaf and yard waste.
When and where:
- Ajax and Pickering: Natural Christmas tree collection will be on regular collection days during the weeks of January 6 and 13 only.
- Brock, Clarington, Scugog and Uxbridge: Natural Christmas tree collection will take place on Monday, January 6 and Monday, January 13 only.
