On January 8th, Township of Uxbridge Council directed staff to refrain from entering into a new train station lease with York Durham Heritage Railway (YDHR). YDHR vacated the property and returned the station to the Township, as per the terms of the agreement.

The Township of Uxbridge reminds residents that off-leash dogs are not permitted on baseball diamonds as it causes health and safety hazards.

The main health and safety issues include:

  • The risk of dog attacks on nearby citizens

The Townships of Scugog and Uxbridge are very pleased to announce that the Estate of Marlyn Ruth Rennie has made an extremely generous donation of $1,100,674 to the Uxbridge-Scugog Animal Shelter.
