The second phase of the Township of Uxbridge and the Lake Simcoe Regional Conservation Authority’s tree removal project is scheduled to commence October 1st, 2024, with the removal taking place in the area located on the West side of 2nd Avenue, between Rosena Lane & Bolster Lane.

Uxbridge and surrounding Durham Region municipalities are once again coming together this September for National Hunger Action Month to help raise awareness, food donations, and funds to fight hunger in the community and across Durham Region.

Townhall's Temporary Window Retrofits Bring the Township Closer to Becoming a Bird-Friendly City!

Earlier this week, Bird Friendly Uxbridge volunteers hand-painted murals on a few of the windows at Town Hall to prevent bird collisions and halt the decline in bird populations. These murals serve as a temporary measure while the Township explores more permanent solutions. This initiative is part of the Township’s broader effort to achieve the ‘Bird Friendly City’ Certification.

Uxbridge Volunteer Firefighter Recruitment Window Now Open!

The Township of Uxbridge Fire Department is hiring volunteer firefighters. Applications are currently being accepted until September 13th for interested and qualified candidates.
The role of a volunteer firefighter is both rewarding and challenging. Upon successful completion of the recruit training program, volunteer firefighters respond to a variety of emergency responses including structure fires, vehicle fires, motor vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, and public hazard incidents.
