• Temporary Property Tax Measures Introduced Amidst COVID-19

Measures minimize financial strain for Uxbridge residents...

To support residents and businesses in these challenging times, the Township of Uxbridge has implemented measures to provide taxpayers with options to defer tax payments to help manage finances over the next few months. The next tax due date (for those not on a monthly preauthorized payment plan) is April 28th, 2020.

  • The Township will waive penalties and interest on overdue tax payments for 63 days effective with the April 28th, 2020 tax due date.
  • The two month (63 day) grace period means no penalty or interest charges will be incurred on May 1st or June 1st, 2020 for unpaid taxes.
  • Property tax amounts must still be paid in full.
  • Pre-authorized payments (PAP) will continue as scheduled. The next withdrawal date is April 1st, 2020.
  • If residents wish to defer the April 1st monthly PAP payment, or withdraw from the plan, please send an email to sstraughan@uxbridge.ca or call 416-809-0876 by March 27th, 2020.
  • Any payments delayed or cancelled will remain on the tax account and will need to be paid at a later date.
  • The 2020 Final Tax bills will be issued in June 2020, with two installment dates:
    • 1st Installment: July 29th (residential) or August 17th (commercial/industrial)
    • 2nd Installment: September 28th (all properties)
