Annie Hardock will be informing members about up-coming initiatives and plans for the new season. We will also be drawing the winners from the ballots collected at the Uxbridge Fall Fair.

    USHS Horseshoe Club Update for Spring: 

    It was a great season playing Horseshoes last summer at our four pitches at the Museum Site. We had 31 members in total in 2019!

    We plan to start play again on May 12th 2020 at 6.30 pm: Mark your calendar. We play for 2 hours then those that wish go to the Second Wedge to continue the fellowship. The cost to play Horseshoes is your USHS membership: Individual,  $25, (early bird discount: $20 before February 29th, 2020).

    Early Bird discount of $5.00 will be applied before February 29th, 2020 

    At the end of the season, there are two trophies: one for the Champions and one for the Consolation Champions. Last years' Champions were Peter Bouchard & Don Dye, and the consolation winners were Jim Heagle & Grant Manock.

    Following the success of Enable AI 2019, the students at Durham College’s AI/Hub are proud to present Enable AI 2020. This year’s theme will focus on Smart Communities and examine how AI is being used in Durham region and across Ontario to deliver government, social, educational and industry services to the public and private sectors. Leaders from various municipalities, associations and industries from our 300 organizations will meet at Enable AI 2020 to explore various topics including :

    Join the talk on Empathy!    Carion Fenn Foundation presents its 4th Annual Mental Health Symposium in partnership with Ajax Public Library and Ajax Home Week. Our program will feature a panel of speakers, exhibitors and a break-away session talking about empathy. Our speakers will focus on day-to-day life and how empathy can improve how we communicate and relate to one another.
