Monthly Marketing Campaigns - Register Your Event Today!

Are you an Uxbridge BIA Business hosting an upcoming event?

The Uxbridge BIA is partnering with the Downtown Marketing Coordinator to offer a new way to promote and advertise local events in Uxbridge! A monthly calendar of events will be marketed electronically via various platforms and websites to drive foot traffic to local events.

If you have an event you want help spreading the word about, send your event details to the Township’s Downtown Marketing Coordinator, Kurtis, at kmcaleer@uxbridge.ca to be included in a future monthly event calendar!

Event submissions are due the 20th of each month for inclusion in upcoming month’s calendar.


 

Committing to Inclusion

Durham Region Accessibility Conference - Registration Open Now!

The Durham Accessibility Conference returns on May 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Abilities Centre, 1 Jim Flaherty Street (formerly 55 Gordon Street), in Whitby.

The theme for this year is, “Committing to Inclusion in the Workplace: Getting your toolkit ready.” Featuring keynote speaker, Ingrid Muschta, Director of Special Projects and Innovation, Ontario Disability Employment Network.; a panel presentation; and exhibitors. This free conference will focus on embedding inclusion into the workplace, as an employer, using an intersectional lens.

The conference is open to the business community, Durham Region employers, and those interested in exploring how to commit to inclusion in the workplace.

This event is hybrid. Registration to attend in person or virtually is required by May 16. Communication Access Real time Translation and American Sign Language interpretation will be available.
