The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing is hosting two information sessions regarding the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians program. Those affected by the May 2022 Tornado and seeking financial assistance are encouraged to attend to learn more about the program.
Two virtual information sessions will be held based on applicant type:
- A session for homeowners and tenants will be held virtually on Tuesday, July 26th from 5:30-7:00pm.
- A session for small owner-operated businesses, farms, and not-for-profit organizations will be held virtually on Thursday, July 28th from 5:30-7:00pm.
Both sessions will be broadcast live in Council Chambers at Town Hall at 51 Toronto St. S., Uxbridge Ont. Anyone interested in participating in person can attend to watch the session and ask questions. Doors to Town Hall will open 15 minutes prior to the start of each session.
Registration is required to attend the virtual session. Those interested in attending virtually can register at https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/disaster-recovery-assistance-for-ontarians-tickets-383512184267 . There is no need to register if you plan to participate in person at Town Hall.
Each session will begin with a 45-minute presentation outlining:
- Eligibility
- Cost coverage
- Application process
- Required documentation
The sessions will conclude with a question-and-answer session.
