Holiday Shopping Pullout Returns!
FREE AD in the Cosmos!

The Uxbridge BIA has exciting news!  We wish to assist as many businesses as possible this holiday season with directing traffic to your shop or service. To that end we will be creating a special pull-out Holiday Shopping Guide in the Nov. 30th issue of the Cosmos. The BIA will pay for the advertising (and for the creation of ads where necessary) for as many businesses as can fit into the 2-sided double-page spread.  

How will you use this free space?  

Use it to promote a special sale, promotion or in-store event on right now, or use it to provide a discount to a service or product for the New Year. Heck, just use it to let everyone know you exist!

Details on each ad are below:

  • Each space will measure 2.175” wide and 4.64” high  

  • Artwork supplied must be minimum 180dpi, .pdf format
  • If you require the Cosmos to create artwork for you, you must email your materials and requirements to lvann@thecosmos.ca by Monday, Nov. 20th.

  • All print-ready artwork will be required to lvann@thecosmos.ca by end of day Friday,  Nov. 24th

  • All ads will be created in full colour!

Save the Dates!

The 2nd annual Christmas Crawl, presented by the Cindy Wood Team, is back bigger and better than ever! Running three Thursdays in December, the 7th, 14th and 21st from 5-9 pm. The three nights include various events hosted by local businesses in Uxbridge, raffle baskets, and a $500 grand prize for one lucky participant! All proceeds raised go towards the new build of the Uxbridge Hospital!

Discover Uxbridge's Holiday Trail event returns December 8, 9 and 10th! This year’s theme is snow people! Enjoy some late shopping on the 8th and 9th, Toonie trail, live music, the Holiday Shopping Passport and much more!

Santa comes to town on November 18th for the annual Uxbridge Santa Claus Parade brought to you by the Township of Uxbridge in partnership with the Uxbridge BIA. Parade travels down Brock St. W. starting at 11:00a.m.

Donate a Prize for Holiday Trail Passport Winners!

The Holiday Trail returns Dec. 8th, 9th and 10th and prizes are needed for the lucky winners who are randomly selected from the completed Passport Shopping Ballots!

There is no set price value for prizes, anything you’re willing to donate is appreciated! Prize ideas include gift baskets, gift card or anything “shop-local” oriented.

CEBA Loans - Key Dates

December 31, 2023: Deadline for full loan repayment for businesses not eligible for loan forgiveness.

January 18, 2024: Deadline for repayment to qualify for the interest-free grace period and partial loan forgiveness — or to apply to refinance the loan for the March 28, 2024 extension. 

March 28, 2024: Deadline for repayment to qualify for partial loan forgiveness for eligible borrowers who applied to refinance the loan by January 18, 2024. Repayment of the loan and interest in full by this date will qualify for partial loan forgiveness.

December 31, 2026: Final repayment deadline for all outstanding CEBA loans and applicable interest.
