Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to notify residents that all incoming and outgoing mail may be affected by a potential labour disruption at Canada Post.
When: A 72-hour strike notice was issued on Tuesday, November 12, and would take effect on Friday, November 15 at 12:01 a.m. ET, should an agreement not be reached by then.

Vote for your Favourite Float at this Year’s Santa Claus Parade

Uxbridge parade-goers will have a chance to vote for their favourite entry in this year’s Santa Claus Parade. The inaugural “People’s Choice Award” will be given to the entry that receives the most votes following the parade.

The Township of Uxbridge Council continues to work on the 2025/2026 Municipal Budget and will be hosting a series of budget review meetings. Budget negotiations are open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend.
The budget review meetings will be taking place on the following dates:

Uxbridge Celebrates Completion of Its First Mini-Forest Project

The Township is pleased to announce that the first Mini-Forest in Durham Region was installed at the Fields of Uxbridge on Saturday, November 2, 2024. With the help of over 80 pre-registered volunteers, 600 native trees and shrubs, comprising 22 species, were planted in just two hours.
