Brook Never Sleeps Workshop Returns Nov. 15th!

Last held in 2019, the Environmental and Sustainability Advisory Committee (ESAC) is bringing back the Brook Never Sleeps event, last held in 2019, offering local youth a chance to explore the ecology of the Uxbridge Brook through a full-day interactive workshop.
This free, hands-on educational event, designed for youth aged 10 – 14, will take place on Friday, November 15th, from 9:00a.m.-3:00p.m. – PA Day for both elementary and high school students.

The theme for Fire Prevention Week, October 6-12, 2024 is “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!”
The Uxbridge Fire Department is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association® (NFPA®) to promote this year’s Fire Prevention Week (FPW) campaign, “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!” The campaign works to educate everyone about the importance of having working smoke alarms in the home.
According to NFPA, smoke alarms reduce the risk of dying in a home fire by more than half (54 percent)....
Indoor Walking Trail Opens Nov. 4th!

With the winter months approaching, many residents look forward to staying active while at the same time staying warm. The Township of Uxbridge offers an indoor walking trail at Uxbridge Secondary School on Monday and Wednesday evenings to provide a safe and accessible fitness opportunity throughout the winter season. Strollers and mobility devices are welcome.
The walking trail is open between 6:00p.m.- 8:00p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays except for holidays and school closures.
