Environment Canada issued a heat warning expected to last through to Friday June 21st or Saturday June 22nd for the Township of Uxbridge and the surrounding area. High temperatures this week are expected to be 30 to 33 degrees Celsius. Humidex values of 40 to 45 are expected.
Residents seeking relief from the heat may visit Town Hall in Uxbridge between 8:30am and 4:30pm. Uxbridge Library is also offering relief from the heat during regular business hours. Please see Contact – Uxbridge Public Library (uxlib.com) for hours of operation.
The Uxpool has public swimming available Tuesday, June 18th and Thursday, June 20th from 7:30p.m.- 8:30p.m and Wednesday, June 19th from 9:30a.m. - 10:30a.m. and 6:30p.m. - 7:30p.m. The Splash Pad is also open daily from 9:00a.m.-9:00p.m.
