Animal Shelter
If you lose or find a pet in the Township of Uxbridge, call us at 905-985-9547 during regular office hours of 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays and 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays. After-hours emergencies should call 1-888-801-8319.
Chief Administrative Officer
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is responsible for the strategic leadership of the Corporation that works in consultation with Council, the community and our partners to strengthen the Township and the manner in which we deliver services and programs to our residents and our stakeholders. The CAO acts as the key advisor to Council, leads the Senior Management Team and serves as a primary contact with other levels of government, the public and the business community. The Office of the CAO supports Council, all departments and their staff, and oversees by-law enforcement and Animal Control,. The CAO may be reached by email or by calling the main line.
Clerk's Department
The Clerk's Department is responsible for the general administration of the municipality. This includes issuing all municipal licences, conducting meetings, conducting civil marriages, administering Commissioner of Oaths, and administering all legislative requirements as prescribed by the Municipal Act.
Community Services Department
The Community Services Department is responsible for recreational, leisure and cultural services provided by the Township of Uxbridge. This includes:
Development Services Department
The Development Services Department oversees all planning and building projects in the Township of Uxbridge. This includes the following services:
- Building permits
- Building inspections
- Zoning By-law Amendments
- Official Plan Amendments
- Site Plan Development
- Committee of Adjustment Applications
Fire Department
The Fire Department is responsible for delivering fire prevention and emergency response services in the Township of Uxbridge.
Parks Department
The Parks Departments maintains and oversees municipal facilities.
Public Works and Operations Department
The Public Works and Operations Department is responsible for road maintenance and construction.
Treasury Department
The Treasury Department responsible for the municipal budget and finances as well as property taxes. The Treasury Department has a financial responsibility to ensure there are adequate finance controls to safeguard the Townships' assets.
