Current Service Disruptions:

  1. Main Street North RR1 3m northwest of Dallas Street, November 13, 2024, Water Main Break, 150mm watermain break at the intersection of Main Street North and Dallas Street in Uxbridge. Traffic impact will be minimal. Water will be shutdown at 4pm for emergency repair. All residents, schools and businesses are currently being notified. Every resident north of Dallas street will be without water after 4pm until repairs are complete. Updates will be provided when available. 
  2. Reach Street, Scugog Township from Marsh Hill Rd to Hwy 7/12, May 15 to November 29, 2024
    Bridge replacement will require intermittent lane closures from May to June, followed by complete road closure from June to November. Please follow traffic detours.
  3. Concession Road 7(Regional Road 1) from 200 metres south of Sandford Road (Regional Road 11) to 400 metres north of Ashworth Road, and from 100  metres south of Foster Drive to Harrison Drive, July 16 to December 2024
    Pavement reconstruction, including shoulder, replacement of culverts and installation of guide rail. 
  4. Uxbridge-East Gwillimbury Townline from north of Durham Reg. Rd. 39/Queensville Sideroad to south of Holborn Road, East Gwillimbury
    Bridge repairs over the Mount Albert Creek require road closure until late 2024.
  5. Uxbridge-East Gwillimbury Townline from York St. (500m south of Ravenshoe Rd.), to Zephyr Rd.
    Bridge repairs require road closure until late 2024.
  6. Concession Road 7 (Reg. Rd. 1) from 200m south of Sandford Road (Reg. Rd. 11) to 400m north of Ashworth Road, and from 100m south of Foster Drive to Harrison Drive, summer 2024 to summer 2025
    Road closures and detours will be in place, to provide for installation of guard rails, paved shoulders, gutter and culvert replacements and road reconstruction.
  7. Regional Road 1 (Concession Road 7), from Regional Road 13 to Foster Drive, in Uxbridge. October 7 to December 13, 2024                                                                                                                                                                                                      Road closures in place to accommodate the road reconstruction of Regional Road 1 (Concession Road 7).
  8. South Balsam Stormwater Pond Rehabilitation. November 4th – June 30th, 2025                                                                     The Township of Uxbridge has obtained all necessary permits to proceed with the reconstruction of South Balsam Pond. Construction is set to begin in the first week of November and will continue through the winter, weather dependent. The project is tentatively scheduled for completion by June 30, 2025.
  • Service Disruption: South Balsam Trail will be closed for the duration of the construction. 
  • Public Consultation: A public information centre was hosted on February 16th, 2023.
