September is Hunger Action Month - Township of Uxbridge Encourages Foodbank Donations

Drop off non-perishable foods now through September 27 or donate online 

Uxbridge and surrounding Durham Region municipalities are once again coming together this September for National Hunger Action Month to help raise awareness, food donations, and funds to fight hunger in the community and across Durham Region. 

The demand for services from local food banks has never been higher. Residents are encouraged to make donations to the local foodbank at Zehrs, Pharmasave and the Trail Capital Pharmacy. From September 5^th to 27^th, non-perishable food donations will be accepted at Town Hall Monday-Friday between 8:30am and 4:30 pm. Residents can also leverage their impact by donating online to Feed The Need Durham.   For every $1 donated, Feed the Need in Durham can collect, store, and distribute two meals and other needed products to reach those in need.  Donate online.
