South Balsam Street Stormwater Pond Rehabilitation Set to Commence Nov. 4th

Reconstruction of the South Balsam Street Stormwater Pond is set to commence November 4^th. Construction crews will be working on-site throughout the winter, with construction anticipated to conclude on June 30^th, 2025, weather permitting.

The pond, located south of South Balsam Street and east of Turner Drive, is no longer functioning as designed due to the age of the facility and vegetative growth at the site. The pond will be reconstructed by cleaning existing ponds and installing a new storm sewer, pedestrian bridge and landscaping. Full project drawing available here.

South Balsam Trail will be closed during construction.

Construction fencing has been installed at the site for the safety of residents. The public is asked to please respect the fencing and to not enter the construction site throughout the duration of the construction.
