The Uxbridge Public Library Board, and Township Council are seeking feedback on a proposal to improve the Zephyr Library and its services. Possible solutions include amalgamating the Zephyr Library and Zephyr Community Hall. Residents of the Township of Uxbridge are invited to complete the short survey that explores community support for the proposal.

This survey seeks further community input as a follow up to the in-person Open House at the Zephyr Community Hall on April 20th. One proposal is to create a shared space between the Zephyr Public Library and the Zephyr Community Hall creating a more inclusive community-hub environment. This proposal is prompted by the limited options to meet accessibility requirements at the existing Library and by the possibility in the future of losing access to the well-water supply and parking lot.

Insights from this survey will be reviewed and the Library Board will share a summary of results in September 2024 on the library website and by posting results at the Zephyr Public Library.

To participate in the survey, visit  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/W3X82G8. For assistance, please visit the Zephyr library or call the Zephyr library at (905) 473‑2375 or the Uxbridge Library at (905) 852‑9747.

The survey closes on July 20th, 2024. Upon request, the Library will provide a copy of the survey in a printed or accessible format and/or provide supports to aid with completion of the survey.

For more information about the proposed changes, please contact Amanda Ferraro, Director of Community Services at aferraro@uxbridge.ca or at 905-852-9181 ext. 540.
