Uxbridge Urban Provincial Park Welcomes First Visitors on Opening Day

Over 500 visitors stopped by Uxbridge Urban Provincial Park on opening day to explore existing trails on the property. The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, Ontario Parks staff and community members were on hand on July 1^st to welcome guests and answer questions about the property.

Ontario Parks has marked three self-guided trails with trail markers to help visitors navigate the pathways. Limited parking is available on site. Other amenities and offerings are limited at this time while Ontario Parks is developing a park management plan. Once the park management plan is finalized, Ontario Parks will take a gradual and phased approach to park operations and any new park development.

Ontario Parks is currently accepting public comments as part of the park management planning process. The park management plan will guide protection, land uses and recreational opportunities. Take some time to review the background document, 2023 survey results, and fill out the comment card if you have anything new to add.
