Back to SearchWhitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to remind residents of changes to curbside blue box, green bin, and garbage collection due to the holidays.
When and where: Across Durham Region, waste collection scheduled for Wednesday, December 25 will be moved to the following day. This shift will continue through the rest of the week, ending with the Friday, December 27 collection being moved to Saturday, December 28. Collection will also be shifted the following week, beginning on Wednesday, January 1 and ending on Saturday, January 4.
Why: Changes to waste collection are taking place in observance of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day statutory holidays.
