Environmental Advisory and Sustainability Committee seeking nominations for the Environmental Achievement Award 

Originally developed by the Watershed Advisory Committee, the Environmental and Sustainability Advisory Committee (ESAC) is reactivating the Environmental Heroes Award project, now known as the Environmental Achievement Award, and is seeking nominations.

This award is to recognize any environmental projects or initiatives that can be related in any way to:

-       Environmental protection

-       Restoration or enhancement

-       Energy conservation/carbon footprint reduction

-       Initiatives that promote sustainability

Eligibility:

Any individuals, groups, clubs, corporations, or organizations that reside within the Township of Uxbridge and reflect and meet the scope of the award as outlined above, are eligible for nomination.

How to Nominate:

To nominate an individual, group, club, corporation, or organization for this award, please submit a 500 word or less description of the nominee as it relates to the scope of the award criteria.

Inclusion of pictures, reference letters or other pertinent information that may improve the nomination is permitted within the submission.

Submission Details:

• Nominations are to be submitted to the Clerks Department via email at Clerks@uxbridge.ca or paper copies can be dropped off at Town Hall (51 Toronto St. S., Uxbridge), Monday-Friday, 9:00a.m.- 4:00p.m.
• Deadline for submissions is October 31^st at 4:30p.m.

Selection Process:

The ESAC will review nomination submissions of eligible nominees and supporting documents and successful award recipient(s) will be presented with the certificate at an upcoming council meeting.
