THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF UXBRIDGE

NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONSIDER REMOVAL OF A HOLDING SYMBOL FROM THE ZONING BY-LAW

 

The Council for the Township of Uxbridge is considering an amendment to the Township Zoning By-law 81-19 for the lands shown on the Key Map indicated below. Details of the amendment are as follows:

 

APPLICANT:                  Township of Uxbridge

 

LOCATION:                   CERTAIN LANDS LOCATED IN PART OF LOT 30 AND 31, CONCESSIONS 6 AND 7, IN THE TOWNSHIP                                           OF UXBRIDGE, IN THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF DURHAM.

 

EFFECT:                        To remove the Holding (H) Symbol from the subject lands, which are currently zoned “Holding                                                       Downtown Commercial Exception No. 2 ((H)C3-2) Zone” and “Holding Downtown Commercial                                                       Exception No. 8 ((H)C3-8) Zone”.

 

                                       The purpose of the Holding Symbol for the C3-2 and C3-8 Zones is to ensure that:

 

                                        THAT the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Uxbridge shall not remove the Holding (H)                                              Symbol from the Holding Downtown Commercial Exception No. 2 ((H)C3-2) Zone and the  Holding                                                 Downtown Commercial Exception No. 8 ((H)C3-8) Zone on the lands which are the subject of this                                                 by- law until the following conditions have been complied with:

                                                                i.                All necessary approvals from the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation                                                                                                    Authority, and any conditions of the Authority have been appropriately                                                                                                  incorporated into the Site Plan Agreement and financially secured, all to the                                                                                        satisfaction of the Township and confirmed in writing to the Township.

                                                              ii.                All other approvals respecting development of the lands from all applicable                                                                                        Township, Regional and Provincial agencies and Ministries have been                                                                                                  received and confirmed in writing to the Township.

COMMENT:                 Comments can be provided to Council through written or oral submission in accordance with the                                                following:

                                                            1.             Written Submissions:

                                                                             Written submissions should be addressed to the Township Clerk at the address                                                                               shown below. Written comments should be submitted before                                                                                                                 Friday, February 7, 2025.

                                                           2.             Oral Submission:

                                                                            Oral submissions may be provided to Council at the meeting or livestream. You                                                                                must pre-register with the Clerk’s office by email at dleroux@uxbridge.ca, or                                                                                       telephone at 905-852-9181 ext. 228 or mail at the address below before 12:00                                                                                   p.m. (Noon) on Friday, February 7th, 2025. Please include your full name,                                                                                             address, and a call-back phone number. You will be contacted by the Clerk’s                                                                                       office to confirm your participation and receive the online call-in information                                                                                       before the meeting. Technical assistance may be provided to ensure you                                                                                              are able to participate.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council for the Township of Uxbridge will consider a By-law to remove the Holding symbol pursuant to Section 36 of the Planning Act, R.S.O.1990,C.P.13, no earlier than MONDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2025.
