The Township of Uxbridge is proud to announce the ongoing success of its Trail Sustainability Project, funded by the Parking Permit Program, and in partnership with the Region of Durham and Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA).

The paid parking initiative generated approximately $87,000 in revenue in 2024 from out-of-town visitors. This has been reinvested into the trails in Uxbridge, including infrastructure repairs, the installation of new equipment, and ongoing trail upkeep.

Here’s what you might have noticed:

  • Mobile restrooms at all locations
  • Winter grooming at all locations
  • 3 new trail head kiosks installed
  • Trail Mowing
  • Replacement and maintenance of garbage receptacles
  • 2 parking lot gate replacements
  • Parking lot surface repairs, signage and gate relocation
  • 1 Automatic External Defibrillator and first aid kit installed
  • 2 bike repair stations installed

The Township, the Region and TRCA appreciate the ongoing support of residents and visitors, which has been instrumental in maintaining and enhancing Uxbridge’s trails. These efforts reflect our collective dedication to fostering sustainability and providing exceptional outdoor experiences for everyone.
