Booking a Facility
The Township of Uxbridge makes it easy to reserve facilities for your events, meetings, and activities. Follow these simple steps to submit a reservation request online:

The following items are required when renting facilities or parks:
All facility renters and third parties (i.e. vendors, caterers, etc.) are required to carry liability insurance when using a Township owned or operated facility or community hall. Rates vary and could depend on the type of event, length to time, number of attendees, whether alcohol is being served etc. and the Town reserves the right to determine or amend the insurance requirements based on, but not limited to, risk assessment and event size. The Township of Uxbridge requires the Licensee to carry comprehensive general liability insurance in an amount of not less than two million dollars ($2,000,000) per occurrence, and to provide the Township of Uxbridge with proof of insurance coverage that is satisfactory with the Township.
All special events as deemed by the Township of Uxbridge shall carry comprehensive general liability insurance in an amount of not less than five million dollars ($5,000,00) per occurrence, and will provide the Township of Uxbridge with proof of insurance coverage that is satisfactory with the Township. If hosting a Liquor licensed event then Host Liquor Liability coverage must be included in the coverage and indicated on the certificate. This insurance must remain in effect and be carried for the entirety of the rental period shown in the contract and will have the Township of Uxbridge shown as additional insured on the certificate of insurance.
Option 1: Renter's Insurance Policy
A liability insurance policy may be purchased from any insurance provider of the renter's choice. A certificate of insurance coverage must be completed by the insurance broker and submitted to the Township of Uxbridge for proof of coverage.
Option 2: Liability Insurance Program
Renters with Township of Uxbridge Permits may purchase insurance through the Liability Insurance Program offered by AON (Instant Risk Coverage) . This program provides a straight forward and affordable avenue for users to obtain liability insurance protection. Click the button below to register and purchase liability insurance.
Alcohol is permitted during rentals at specific Township of Uxbridge locations. All rentals involving alcohol must comply with the Municipal Alcohol Policy. Requirements for events involving alcohol are:

A Special Occasions Permit (SOP) must also be obtained and provided to staff from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario

Servers must be smart serve certified and smart serve numbers must be provided to staff

The liability insurance must include alcohol liability coverage, of no less than five million dollars ($5,000,000) coverage, and list the Township of Uxbridge as an additional insured.

Historical facilities require a $1,000 damage deposit; all other facilities require a $500 damage deposit.
All special and outdoor events must follow Durham Region Requirements listed below, and submit all application forms. Food trucks must obtain a yearly permit through the Township By-Law office.

Food Handler Certificates
If you are providing food or beverages (for sale or at no charge) at your public event, you must:
- Obtain approval from the Durham Region Health Department. Once your application is reviewed by the Durham Region Health Department, you must:
- Submit the status to your Township staff liaison.
The organizer of the event is responsible to provide all document copies related to Food Handler Certificates to the community service coordinator.

Community Centres

The Goodwood Community Centre is located at 268 Durham Regional Hwy 47, Goodwood. It has a capacity of 149 individuals and is perfect for a party, shower, meeting or community social event.

Uxbridge Historical Centre (UHC)
The Uxbridge Historical Centre(UHC) boasts numerous beautiful rental options for a variety of indoor and outdoor events. With the best view overlooking Uxbridge Valley, the Gazebo, the historic Fifth Line Church and Quaker Hill Schoolhouse are particularly popular spaces for parties, wedding ceremonies and receptions. The Quaker hill Schoolhouse has a brand new kitchen, equipped with dishware. An overview of UHC rental options are available on the UHC website. The following rate applies for event slab rentals:
- $2,840 per event for all for-profit rentals (includes exclusive use for one (1) full day of one (1) dry pad. Up to four (4) hours of setup and up to four (4) hours of clean up on the day prior and following the event can be arranged with the facility at no additional charge. Extra setup and clean up hours will be charged at the hourly dry slab rate).
Arena Community Centre rates
Attached to the Uxbridge Arena is the Community Centre facility. You can rent this facility for dances, meetings and other community events. It has a capacity of 318 individuals with a dance floor, or 424 without. The following rates apply for renting the facility:

Uxbridge Music Hall Rentals

Uxpool Rentals
Consider hosting a birthday party at Uxpool! The Uxpool (Uxbridge pool) offers a variety of party and fitness class rental packages. To rent Uxpool, please email or call Uxpool at 905-852-7831.
The Uxpool Party Package includes use of Uxpool and rental of the Hall upstairs overlooking the pool, and include:
- A lifeguard
- Private access to the whole pool
- 1 hour of swim time
- 1 hour hall rental following the swim
Cost
The Uxpool Party Package costs $228.25 + HST . An extra guard is available for an additional $31.00 + HST per hour.
Schedule
This package is available Saturdays and Sundays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Hall Rental Package includes rental of the Hall upstairs overlooking the pool, following a public swim on Saturdays and Sundays from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., depending on hall availability.
Cost
The Hall Rental Package costs $53.25 + HST. Each person attending the party is required to pay $4.50 admission to the public swim.
