In the Township of Uxbridge, we are committed to celebrating our heritage through heritage pride plaques. Eligible buildings will receive a heritage plaque that includes the:
- Date the building was constructed
- Name or occupation of the original or notable owner
Apply for a pride heritage plaque
To request a heritage plaque, complete the Heritage Plaque Application form and submit it by email or drop it off to the Municipal Office located at:
51 Toronto Street South
Uxbridge, ON L9P 1T1
Along with your completed application, please include a photograph of the building. All applications will be forwarded to the Uxbridge Heritage Committee for review.
Eligibility
If your home was built before 1910, you are eligible for a heritage pride plaque. We will consider buildings constructed after 1910 if they have exceptional heritage characteristics, such as:
- Architecture
- Notable occupancy
- Cultural uniqueness
